As hard as it may be, sometimes we must know when to admit failure even when the thing that failed is something we worked hard for and therefore we have a connection with it. That connection cannot be seen by others which make them judge, in the best hope, impartially.
With some luck we can see what make that thing failed and give reason to others otherwise we will lose our strengths fighting for something which is just not and will never be ‘accepted’. We need to let go.
We need to keep our head high, look into the future and move on to another project, work even harder and try to make sure the mistake that led us to fail the first time does not happens again.
Test and error. Test and error. That’s how we learn as tough and painful as it is.

This is the only part I'm going to comment here in the english version.
To move on requires a great deal of strenght and courage. Of course it depends on the subject, but in a general way is not easy to let go our mistakes. We can easily recall our bad actions, errors, etc, than our good deeds, actions... sometimes we quickly forget one success and retain in our memories a failure.
It also depends on the person. An optimistic person can easily forget a failure and move on. Glass half empty or half full?

erm yeah anyway. XD To the post, huh?
I basically agree with what you say - "test and error", that's what we experience our whole lives, that's how we learn from our earliest childhood to the moment we die.
However, I'm not sure whether I agree with the fact that we need to present people with a justification why our work went wrong. It's enough if we feel what needs to be done better next time and just do it. I think people would appreciate that more than hearing a whole list of explanations.
.. well.. except if you have a really bad boss who doesn't trust you a bit. xD
.. or ... if you're a real perfectionist! :)
I guess the trick is to find the balance between being ambitious and perfectionist or just being detached and saying "well, I'll manage somehow next time, now let's have some fun" ... also depends how big the mistake was. ^^"
